Title: Accounts Clerk

Duties


•    Daily Banking and allocation of payments to the ledger - Cash and Bacs

•    Liaising with Foreign Suppliers and dealing with Currency

•    Open accounts for new customers

•    Maintain rates for all accounts and update when needed

•    Create credit notes and invoices when requested

•    Assisting all the UK branches with daily requests and query’s in a timely manner

•    Invoice checking and data entry

•    Liaising with customers for payments by phone and email

•    Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential but training will be given for all the above



Desirable

•    Be computer literate

•    Have good communication skills

•    Work well as part of a team, with a high attention to detail



Essential

•    Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

•    Previous accounts experience with knowledge of Pegasus Opera 3 or similar accounting package


Hours of work


Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.30 (37.5 hours per week) 

Salary circa £21,000 - £22,500 per annum
