Eco Courier

In response to the carbon reduction challenge, SkyNet recognises the need to provide

eco-friendly delivery services as well as the need to implement carbon offsetting initiatives. SkyNet flew to Ghana in August 2019 to initiate it’s own tree planting project in an attempt to reverse the effects that, carbon emissions is having on our planet.

SkyNet’s investment into building an international PUDO Network not only has benefits to you and your consumers but benefits to the environment.

Our UK fleet will become 100% Euro standard 6 by 2020 and we already operate an electric vehicle delivery solution, currently covering over 1,500 clean miles per month in London.

Our warehouse facility has achieved an “A” rating for energy performance.

As a service sector company we do not manufacture

any commodities.

SkyNet ensures our sub-contract fleet maintain their vehicles to minimise emissions and roadway pollutants. SkyNet, wherever possible, encourage its drivers to use low sulphur diesel to minimise pollutants.

SkyNet encourages its transport manager/controllers to plan the logistics using GPRS tracking system and an Auto routing system. This enables efficient use of mileage, helps to reduce wear and tear on vehicles and overall decrease, vehicle fuel emission output.

To transport international shipments SkyNet will always  try to use the best option for the environment like British Airways who have now-partnered with Velocys, a renewable fuels company, to design a series of waste plants that convert household waste into renewable jet fuel to power their fleet. Through this project, hundreds of thousands of tonnes of household waste per year, destined for landfill or incineration, will be converted into clean-burning sustainable fuels to reach global aviation CO2 targets.
