SkyNet is updating it’s fleet with more fuel efficient vehicles that are classified as euro standard 6, electric or Hybrid that emit zero or low emissions. We have invested an electric car that is used for any meetings in Central London. Our electric Light Goods Van and Hybrid vehicles are used to deliver and collect shipments from Heathrow Airport.
We are especially proud of our three hybrid 7.5 tonne vehicles. These vehicles reduce emissions significantly increasing the 7.5 tonne mpg from 16mpg to 36mpg. Enabling these vehicles to travel further than our existing zero emissions vehicles.
In true SkyNet style, we have developed our own tree planting project to offset our carbon. The aim of the project is to plant approximately 142,208 trees across 128 hectares of various types that include virtually extinct species. The Ghanaian Forestry Commission has allocated us land within compartment 24 of South Bandai Forest Reserve in Agogo Ghana. Click here to watch our video
At our London Hub we recycle our waste and generate our own electricity through solar panels on the roof of the building. We also monitor our energy usages including water and have achieved an “A” rating for energy performance. Our building’s emission rate is 8.2kg which is half of the UK’s benchmark emission rate.
