Important Update: Change in VAT Rate for Israel Effective January 1, 2025

We would like to inform our customers about a significant update regarding the Value Added Tax (VAT) in Israel.

VAT Increase to 18%

Effective January 1, 2025, the VAT rate in Israel will increase from 17% to 18%, as per the Value Added Tax Order 11179, published in February 2024. This change was enacted as part of the 2024 government balance plan.

Details of the Change

Under the Value Added Tax Law of 1975, VAT is imposed on transactions within Israel and the import of goods. Starting January 1, 2025, the tax rate applied to these transactions will be adjusted to 18% of the transaction or goods’ value.

Impact on DDP Shipments

For Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipments valued over $75, the applicable VAT rate will increase to 18% in compliance with this legal change.
